Damn, a 3.5 hour video on TLJ, that’s wild. Is the salt is strong with this one? Don’t get it twisted though, not defending the sequel trilogy, it’s ass. All three movies are bad in their own way. That said, I will die on the hill that TLJ was the “least awful” of the three sequel trilogy movies. I feel like the majority of people agree The Rise of Skywalker is the worst of the three, so that leaves TFA and TLJ. I feel like TLJ edges out TFA because it at least tries to be as original as possible, where TFA is just a beat for beat remake of A New Hope. It’s all subjective, but I think people will come around to this view eventually. Again tho, I’m not trying to say TLJ is a “good” movie, more like the prettiest turd in the shitpile.

I think that the secret to understanding TLJ is that it is a deconstruction of Star Wars tropes. It is intentionally destructive of reasonable audience expectations for what a Star Wars movie even is, and so becomes a kind of anti-Star Wars movie. I don't know if this was being done to defeat fan theories, or out of hate for Star Wars, or simply to write a satire, or to wipe the slate clean for future movies. In any case, it's not even remotely Star Wars except for being written in some Mirror Universe.

Jeremy Parish and his NESWorks series pretty much defined Castlevania II as a definite "weird 2" NES game. Meaning it's a second game in a series that's totally different than the first title. Super Mario Bros. 2, Zelda 2, Castlevania 2... It's a weird title considering the third and fourth games are amazing action titles. This is just an easy game with lying ass NPCs.

Yes it's got it's bumps and frustrating rough spots, but After SOTY, Castlevania 2 is my 2nd favorite Castlevania game, I loved playing it as an adult with the internet to help of course. I also loved my time as a kid sleeping over my friends house, staying up all night playing and trying to figure out Castlevania 2. We never got to far, but remember games back then we're ment to be DIFFICULT. You got my subby for support, keep up the good work
